Request a Superhero Visit
I've been on a mission to bring smiles and joy to sick children and adults across the United States. But guess what? Starting next year, I'll be taking my superhero visits to a whole new level by going international! That's right, I'll be spreading happiness and love to those in need around the world!
For those who may not be familiar with what I do, let me explain. I make it my mission to visit sick children and adults at home or in hospitals, bringing a little superhero magic into their lives. I always coordinate my visits through the child life specialist at each hospital to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone and that I can schedule a visit with the requesting family. It's all about making a difference and brightening someone's day!
Even if a child is in isolation at the hospital, I don't let that stop me from spreading joy. I've visited children through windows or any other way the hospital has set up the room. Because at the end of the day, it's all about seeing those precious smiles light up their faces.
Now, I want to address something very important. If there is a child who has been given a terminal diagnosis and it's urgent for me to visit them, please let me know in the email. I will make every effort to rearrange my schedule and come see them as soon as possible.
During my visits, one of the most common questions I get asked is, "How can you be all these different superheroes?" Well, the answer is simple. In the movies, superheroes are portrayed by different people, but in real life, it's just one of us. And while I can't show off my superpowers (they're reserved for fighting bad guys only!), I can share a little bit of their magic.
Each child I visit receives a special superpower dog tag from me. I tell the children that I have infused "superpowers" into these dog tags, which will help them beat cancer or overcome any illness they may be fighting. But there's a catch - the "superpowers" will only work if they promise me one thing. I make them pinky promise to never give up, to always fight for me. It's a small gesture, but it holds immense power and hope. To make sure they don't lose their special dog tag, I encourage them to wear it around their neck.
If you are a school, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Lions Club, American Legion, or any other organization planning a community event, I would be absolutely thrilled to attend as a superhero or even speak about my mission and the importance of anti-bullying and responsible social media use. Just shoot me an email at damon@heroes4acure.com, and we can make it happen!
Let's continue spreading love, joy, and hope together. Remember, every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a world of difference. Together, we can be superheroes in the lives of those who need it most.
Remember, we all have a superhero inside us waiting to be unleashed. Let's fight the good fight together!
